Givenchy Fall 2020 Runway

In mid-June, we learned that Matthew M. Williams (designer of 1017 ALYX 9SM ) had been given the role of creative director for The House of Givenchy. But, for Givenchy’s Fall 2020 collection that took place earlier in March, Clare Waight Keller gave us a stunning “oh-so-Givenchy” collection. We get sophisticated coats that are too die for! With styles varying from polka dots to capes.

The collection gives rich colors of light and deep retro and neutral colors ranging from black, white, red and shades of beige. We see beautifully-tailored garments which look empowering and feminine. Just as Givenchy always gives us those bold pieces, we see brazen coats with prominent shoulders and vintage color palettes.

Here are some of my favorite garments which includes oversized hats (anyone getting J-Lo vibes?) and slouchy leather gloves.

All that’s missing is a cigarette in one hand.

What do you think about Givenchy’s 2020 Fall collection?
